TRAPACERO & BIGOTRY

So I saw this video today regarding Gypsy Children in Spain reading about the definition of "Gitano" in the Spanish dictionary. It's kind of heartbreaking what they discover.
FYI. "Trapacero" in spanish, means dishonest, cheater, untrustworthy, etc.

This brings me to the point regarding the word for today:

"BIGOTRY" (pronounced 'bigotri')

Which means:

A complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.

Or in other words, being unable to accept the ideas of another person.

Bigotry, in my opinion, is to blame for a lot of the shit things that go on in the world:
Racism, homophobia, xenophobia, terrorism usually come from bigotry.

The thing about bigotry is that you only usually are a bigot when you think you have the power to be one so it's usually the stronger being a bigot to the weaker.

I think that in order to be just and fair, you have to be tolerant to other people's ideas and culture. Sometimes it can be trickier because those ideas are total bullshit! Haha. For example, should one be tolerant towards Nazi ideas? Do you think a person, as wrong as he/she can be, can have those ideas and you can respect the fact that although insane, stupid and completely wrong, they have a right to their opinion? I think so.
I remember, a long  time ago, walking through a busy park in Sydney, on a Sunday, and coming across this old guy with a swastika flag and swastika patches giving a speech in front of a crowd. Every single member of the crowd was against what he was saying. A lot of people were offended but the guy had the right to be there, the right to free-speech and freedom of expression.

What do you think?
